I have stilled and quieted my soul.
Such is the soul within me.
I have bathed and purified with holy water.
I ready myself for the spirit is within me.
I will think on the word of the Lord.
I have stilled and quieted my soul.
I listen to the voice within me.
Speak so softly, softly without a sound.
I feel you all around me.
Sweet breath I inhale.
I have stilled and quieted my soul.
The cross is upon the wall.
I lie back and reflect upon it.
Long days without end.
I pray for sweet hope in the mist of bitterness.
I have stilled and quieted my soul.
I stand before the gates.
Sweet dream you stand before me.
Your love makes me weep,
for all that is gone and to come.
Sweet Christ my heart races.
Be still my racing heart, be still.
I have stilled and quieted my soul.
Memory will not fade or time take away,
this vision of you.
Your face shines like the sun.
In your hand you hold our names.
Ever changing as we turn to and fro.
And I want nothing more
than the grace of keeping faith.
